Didipio named best mine in the Philippines – again!
OceanaGold Philippines Inc. (OGPI), Didipio Operation won five top awards during the 63rd Annual National Mine Safety and Environment Conference (ANMSEC) held in Baguio City.
The five awards included the prestigious Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA), the highest award conferred by the country’s Mine Safety and Environmental Association.
The annual PMIEA award is given to mining companies that demonstrate outstanding performance in environmental management, occupational health and safety and corporate social responsibility.

OceanaGold’s Didipio mine also bagged awards for being the Safest Mines Operation – Metallic Mine category; Safest Mineral Processing Concentrator; Safest Surface Mines Operations and third runner-up for Best Mining Forest Program – Metallic category.
Bearing an ISO 14001: 2004 mark, the Didipio Mine also won the most prestigious PMIEA award in 2015 and named 2015 Overall Safest Mining Operations winner (Metallic Category), Safest Mines Award winner (Surface Operation Category).
